The PACC Fuel Fund provides heating oil for our neighbors in need during the long, cold New England winter.

Individuals and families can apply for help through the Pittsfield Salvation Army and, if they qualify, O’Connell’s delivers 100 gallons of heating oil. We purchase in bulk from O’Connell’s to get the most value for every dollar donated. Each gift goes directly to help our neighbors in need.

A few years ago, the fund provided fuel oil to 35 to 40 families annually; last year due to the increased generosity of donations to the fund from individuals and local organizations, including a lead gift from Mountain One, we delivered fuel oil to 75 families.

We commit to each other that:

• We honor and value each other as people, and as people of faith
• We respect each other’s sacred traditions and commitments
• We believe in the holy work of building relationships, even when it is challenging
• We acknowledge that all of our traditions have the potential to sow understanding, justice, love, and peace
• We will work together towards fulfillment of our mission

Local faith leaders are welcome to join our PACC meetings on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Wander Berkshires.

Our work together will include:

• stewardship of the PACC Fuel Fund supporting our neighbors
• community building among religious and spiritual leaders
• interfaith programs for our communities and the public that educate, uplift, and inspire
• cooperation among congregations for social justice work, programming, and exploration of shared values
• public statements around causes and events that exemplify our mission, and amplify each other’s voices when we speak up for human dignity, justice, love and compassion
• insight to the wider community on issues of faith, religion, morality, conscience, and their intersection with regional and national policy decisions
• a forum for sharing and exploring differing spiritual values and passions with colleagues
